Sporting tremendously authentic 70s mustaches, Team Monte rolled up in an ultra beige 1977 Monte Carlo looking straight out of the original 70's Cannonball photos. Under the skin of the beige beast was a full resto-mod cheaty mobile, and as with most overspent machines the Monte didn't make it farther than Ohio. As their penance they finished the trip in a more reliable and less brown Hyundai Elantra rental car.

In 2019 team captain Doug Tabbutt would trade in the cheaty for the douchy and join forces with Blackturd's Arne Toman and go crush Ed Bolian's Cannonball record with a NYC to Redondo Beach time of 27:25. No mustaches were involved.
